Brains:
125 Years
In recent years Brains’ beers have become
symbolic of the Welsh way of life, from the country’s
diverse history to their more recent sporting achievements
in football and rugby. This, however, was not always
the case, and Brains: 125 Years will take you on
a journey of the company’s illustrious history,
from its creation when S.A. Brains bought the old
Brewery in 1882, through its struggles during both
world wards, to come out the other side as a company
with a turnover of £120 million per year.
Brains has been at the forefront of many people’s
lives in Wales and this book is a dedication to the
brand most loved for 125 years.
