book to record the final 12 months at Belle Vue,
which had been the home of Doncaster Rovers for 84
years.
Many people will lament its passing, but old age
had finally caught up with the stadium and it was
time to move on. Tony and Steve have previously collaborated
to compile a pictorial record of the history of the
ground in Book of Belle Vue, and this book will add
to it by providing the final chapter. The book provides
a fascinating photographic record of the final season,
containing images that will evoke many memories for
the thousands of people who have spent their Saturday
afternoons watching their team playing at Belle Vue,
particularly of the very last game against Nottingham
Forest, and for the generations to come it will be
a record of times past.
