Leeds United:
The Complete
European Record
Martin Jarred and Malcolm Macdonald
On 29 September 1965, Leeds United tasted competitive
European football for the first time when the Italian
club Torino visited Elland Road for a Fairs Cup game.
In the years to come United continued to appear in
that competition, eventually under its new identity
of the UEFA Cup, as well as reaching the lofty heights
of the European Cup and Cup-winners’ Cup.
Now Martin Jarred and Malcolm Macdonald, both acknowledged
experts on the club’s history, have put Leeds
United’s complete European record into one book.
Every game is covered in great detail with a match
report and full statistics.
The result will end countless arguments about who
did what and when. More importantly, it will be a
wonderful souvenir of Leeds United’s greatest
days to date.
